About Me
My passion for teaching and instilling a love for music began over 30 years ago in Halifax, Nova Scotia where I was born and raised. I started playing the piano by ear at the age of 3. I began taking private lessons when I turned 4, as I greatly admired listening to my Mother, a classically trained pianist.
I studied piano and theory at the Royal Conservatory of Music, performing and competing extensively, winning many competitions and was awarded a scholarship for advanced studies.

I finished each year at the Conservatory with the highest marks of Honour and Distinction in both Piano and Theory. I graduated from the Royal Conservatory at the highest level, A.R.C.T. (Associate of the Royal Conservatory).
I furthered my studying at Dalhousie University/ Mount Saint Vincent University majoring in Piano Performance and graduated with a double major in Piano and Business.
I have been teaching for over 30 years, having my early years in Canada and then over 20 in Atlanta, Georgia. I am now located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada where I teach privately, both locally and Skyping internationally in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. I'm an enthusiastic and fun teacher and extremely passionate about motivating my students and instilling a love for music in their hearts.
